About the Artist:

Maria was born in Palma de Mallorca and study at the Conservatory of Music and Dance of Mallorca where she received special awards and unanimous recognition for piano and chamber music. Through the Forum Musikae training programme Maria continued her studies with Ivan Citera in Madrid alongside a higher degree at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the the Balearic Islands. In 2020 a move to Finland and a period at the Sibelius Academy under the tutelage of Tuija Hakkila where Maria obtained the Extraordinary prize in the specialist of piano.

Maria has collaborated with different choirs and orchestras, such as the CSMIB Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestral Meetings of the Balearic Islands (EOIB), the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra (OCM) ands has performed with several musicians and groups, including duo Alter Face and Jozef Szafranski, double bass player of the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra. Whilst Maria is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Classical and Contemporary Interpretation at the Higher School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC), with Professor Xavier Barbeta, we are delighted that she will be making her Sala61 debut
